- "Let's just dive in, shall we?"
- — The Auditor to Mr. Watkins
The Auditor was a character featured in Hellraiser: Judgment.
He functioned as a clerk for Hell's Stygian Inquisition and was a form of cenobite-like demon who was likely a former human of German descent.
The Auditor was played by the film's writer and director Gary J. Tunnicliffe.
The Auditor is a blue-collar accountant in Hell, whose department is responsible for intercepting and processing the souls of sinners. His role is to make a note of a person's Earthly sins and transgressions, before passing them to The Assessor.
The Auditor and his department are not Cenobites, as they are separate from Pinhead's Gash and the Order of the Gash. His department is known as The Stygian Inquisition. While Auditor's department processes sinners, the Cenobites offer those who solve the Lament Configuration sadomasochistic pleasures.
